A narrower, clearer job board
ChooChoo began as a practical way to share interesting remote opportunities with friends, colleagues, and people whose skills didn't fit neatly into conventional job-board categories.
Many AI companies now hire writers, researchers, editors, scientists, educators, creatives, and experienced professionals for short-term projects. The opportunities can be worthwhile, but the public listings are often hard to interpret — vague titles, missing context, unclear tradeoffs. ChooChoo exists to make them clearer.
The site is intentionally small. It is not a large recruiting operation, and it doesn't try to look like one.
What ChooChoo does
- Curates publicly posted remote contract opportunities, mostly in AI training and evaluation.
- Translates the important details — pay, schedule, requirements, contractor status — into plain English.
- Adds candid, general context about what a category of work tends to be like.
- Discloses clearly when a link may generate a referral payment.
What ChooChoo doesn't do
- It does not represent the hiring companies, and it is not the employer for any listed role.
- It does not make hiring decisions, review applications, or influence outcomes.
- It does not vet employers beyond checking that a listing is real and current — a listing appearing on ChooChoo is not a guarantee of quality or fit.
- It does not publish project details beyond what's in the public listing, even when more is known.
